If the streets of this city spoke, they’d tell us stories of barricades and of fire, mixed with sweat, blood and tears. In these stories would be the small and resilient figure of Luisa Toledo, who moved generations with a few words. It was also she who, the more years that passed since the murder of her sons Eduardo and Rafael at the hands of the police, never stopped going out on the street so that their death wouldn’t stop being commemorated and above all their lives as combatant youth.

[Heraklion, Crete] Solidarity with Errol

Freedom for Errol, an anarchist political prisoner in the holding cells of Diavata prison in Thessaloniki, who is awaiting a repeat hearing re his deportation from the Greek state, because he is an anarchist . On Wednesday 13/3, two banners of solidarity with anarchist Errol were hung in Heraklion, Crete.

The banners were placed at one of the entrance doors to the old town of Heraklion (Kommeno Bedeni) and at the entrance of an abandoned house in the area of Lakkos.

Today 19/3, Dimitris Hatzivasiliadis was transferred to the prison of Diavata, to the manor of chief torturer Valsamis, for the appeal court of the expropriation of the bank in Thessaloniki (2021).

The comrade, as always in the dozens of transfers for courts that have been made in the two and a half years of his captivity, refused to be taken of hes clothes complicity.. This is a refusal won by political prisoners long ago and has been consolidated over the last 15 years. Before the investigation the comrade asked to have access to a payphone like every other prisoner, and a minimum of time in the yard, as provided by the penal code.

Appeals Court to Decide Final Sentence Against Comrade Francisco Solar

In December of 2023 the judicial power issued an 86 year sentence against comrade Francisco Solar and 12 against comrade Mónica Caballero, who were accused of different explosive attacks. Following the appeal to this sentence, on March 27, 2024 the San Miguel Appeals Court will decide the final sentence of comrade Francisco. Mónica’s sentence was not appealed.

Following the defense’s appeal of the 86 year sentence of anarchist comrade Francisco Solar, this coming March 27, the San Miguel Appeals Court will dictate the definitive sentence.

This past week arguments were made for an annulment action entered by Francisco Solar’s defense before the San Miguel Appeals Court. This action, according to lawyer Nicolás Toro, of Francisco’s legal team, is based in “different infractions to the valuation of the trial, to sane critique and to errors of law in the sentence according to the criteria of the defense”.

THE SUBVERSIVE WRITTEN WORD

Dear comrades,

This is Toby Shone, an anarchist imprisoned in the operation Adream which was an antiterrorist investigation against the counter-information project 325. I am calling from a prison in northwest England, it’s a long term, high security prison, and the fact that we can steal these moments is very important.

As you may already know, Operation A-dream was a repressive attack by the UK state in which 3 collective housing projects, a family home and storage unit were raided by cops. I was accused of being an administrator of 325.nostate, which earned me 4 terrorist charges: section 2 (distribution of terrorist publications), section 15 (funding terrorism) and two counts of section 58 (possession of information which is likely to be useful for terrorist purposes). I was also accused of several direct actions and membership of FAI, ELF and ALF. Hundreds of police were involved in the simultaneous raids and despite this, only one of the comrades were briefly detained and subsequently released for lack of evidence. It’s clear through the conditions of imprisonment I am held under and the constant monitoring that an active investigation continues with tailings and surveillance of comrades on the outside along with observation of anarchist social spaces.

Tomás is Sentenced to 16 Years in Prison

This past January 18, the comrade Tomás González was sentenced to 16 years in prison, setting his release date for 2038. Remembering that his co-accused Mawünkho has been free for months after having received an abbreviated sentence accepting the charges handed down by the Prosecutor.

A 30-year manhunt ended in the heart of Berlin when police special forces arrested former Red Army Faction guerrilla fighter Daniela Klette. She is one of the famous RAF trio, three ex-militants still on the run and among the most wanted in Germany. This trio emerged from the leadership of the third and final generation of the urban guerrilla group.

The arrest of Klette in Berlin marked the end of her successful evasion of authorities for over 30 years. Klette, now 66 years old, was found in an apartment where ammunition was allegedly discovered. Her identity, allegedly, was confirmed through her fingerprints.

Alongside Ernst-Volker Staub and Burkhard Garweg, they have managed to elude capture for decades. The arrest in Berlin could tighten the circle around her comrades.
